The Shaver Mystery

So Ray Palmer, R- Ray, who was the pu- the, uh, publisher for, uh, Amazing Tales, was writing these articles that Richard Sharp Shaver was, was, uh, sending him.

He was calling them The Shaver Mystery.

And, um, and it was...

And people believed Richard Sharp Shaver.

Dean Bertram, uh, he has a, a podcast called Talking Weird.

He's out in Wisconsin.

So he did a, um, uh, um, a, a, um, a documentary called The Shaver Mystery that's been winning all kinds of awards.

So I'm in there talking about Richard Sharp Shaver in my hometown.

Right.

So I guess you were probably, when I first started talking to you about the Shaver mystery and the man who invented flying saucers and Richard Shaver and ancient underground civilizations and, you know, how this kind of fed into the creation of UFO belief.

I mean, you seem pretty understanding, but what were your initial thoughts? Because I was deep in the beginning stages of that movie when we first met.

I think it's one of the things that made – there's many things that make our relationship so strong.

But one of those things was how willing you were to – become involved as a producer and go on the, that was where our weird trips probably started.

Our weird trips began with, and we're still making this feature, but our weird trips began with, um, Trips for The Shaver Mystery, which is a short section of it, and then the feature, The Man Who Invented Flying Saucers.

So I think, correct me if I'm wrong, I think our first trip was to see the short extract of the film when I think it essentially world premiered at Jersey Devil Film Festival in Asbury Park, which is, my goodness, what a gorgeous town.
