Royal Foundation

That was in 2024.

The two women who had never met before came together in an event launched by the Prince of Wales and Royal Foundation to urge sport at every level to make suicide prevention part of its culture.

I couldn't agree more.

I think this is a massive issue.

And then it was like sort of a match made in heaven where we just went for it.

I was the military exec lead, we partnered with the Royal Foundation, we set this vision create the Invictus Games which was a games for wounded injured and sick servicemen and women put it on the international stage we invited 14 nations we had nine disciplines we went to the Olympic Park because we had the games in 2012 so we used that in 2014 and our onwards and upwards and here we are 26 nations um are going to be coming to Birmingham where I'm the chair and And we've got, you know, numerous sports.

We've got 550 competitors and they've all got that shared goal of, you know, and that shared sort of opportunity to get together, get back with their comrades and do sports.

So we've got this global cultural mix, you know, and great family.

I wanted to add on just a little bit to an episode, actually the last two episodes I did, because I wanted to make sure I made it clear that I am aware that the Royal Family over in the UK, they have done a lot of work with mental health.

And so in the last episode I did, I was pointing out would say things that maybe i found issue with regarding the new sports related toolkit that prince william and the royal foundation was supporting um i just had a problem with kind of how much information it was but it really is that's what a toolkit is right but in in the world of you know mental health and trying to help somebody I mean, if you have 72 pages of information, I just don't know how you're going to flip through that in a real life situation, but it's there if you need it.

And I kept thinking about it and I thought it's almost like a phone book.

It's almost like a big book of information.

Um, Another thing that she'd worked with is something called Heads Together.

And again, this is on the website.

But one thing I found interesting, a group that has worked with the Royal Foundation and the Princess of Wales in regards to Heads Together is called the Campaign Against Living Miserably, which is shortened for CALM.

So C-A-L-M, the Campaign Against Living Miserably.

This dynamic partnership shows that even when personal scandals surface, the monarchy can still maintain its philanthropic commitments.

On a more positive note, Prince William and Catherine’s Royal Foundation launched initiatives targeting environmental issues in twenty twenty.

Their focus on conservation reflects the evolving priorities of the newer generation within the royal family.

This shift mirrors a broader trend of integrating global challenges into royal duties.
