But when Tom Fox, an investment banker, bought the rights to the story, Fox brought in Dan O'Brien to direct and rewrite the script, and he changed nearly everything but the title of the movie.

And then The Return of the Living Dead got its own franchise.

Then you have Zombie, of course, and Zombie is the Italian movies, you know, that whole era of Italian horror that we have there, which have also spawned a ton of their own movies.

Then you also have Rise of the Dead, of the Living Dead, which is a comic book series.
