ACDC released this in 1990 as the lead single from their 12th studio album, The Razor's Edge.
RichHOST

It was number four in Australia, number one in Finland, put a pin in that.
RichHOST
1:02
Number five on the Billboard album rock tracks, sold over 15 million records, has become a real venue event, like a sporting event kind of song.
Mark DavisHOST
29:02
He is 79.
Mark DavisHOST
29:04
What album was this? "Razor's Edge"? "Money Talks." That, that it does.
Mark DavisHOST
29:12
That it does.
Mark DavisHOST
29:14
All right, uh, we are gonna be talking about a couple of Supreme Court rule...

Could I kill me any faster.
Mark DavisHOST

From Razor's Edge.
Mark DavisHOST

And look, I like '70s AC/DC, '80s AC/DC, 'cause I'm an old guy.

[upbeat music] Thunderstruck.
DavidHOST
13:54
to go get it.
DavidHOST
13:55
Like, and there was anticipation and now they just drop a single at midnight and you hear it the next morning on Spotify and, and everything's at your reach.
DavidHOST
14:03
If you want to make a playlist of your 12 favorite artists, you can just do that.
DavidHOST
14:07
We couldn't do that.
RobHOST
18:44
a good warmup song.
RobHOST
18:45
In the weight room at the high school.
DavidHOST
18:48
So this is the lead single off their 1990 album, The Razor's Edge, which was my first ACDC album.
DavidHOST
18:55
I'd heard a couple songs, but I'd never owned any ACDC prior to that.
AdrianGUEST
32:26
because like Roman liked TNT so much I decided to love Thunderstruck like he loved TNT
Victor M. RuizHOST

FaceHOST
4:26
And you
Burt NewtonGUEST

still invited us.
WilkiePANELIST
4:44
I've been a Skeeters fan for a while.
WilkiePANELIST
4:45
I first saw them open for Jamie at Gaston at Center Stage several years ago.
WilkiePANELIST
4:52
And I tried to get something from every album, from both albums, so I kind of did it.
WilkiePANELIST
4:59
I got my top five and three honorables, so there's four and four from each album.
Molly AllenHOST
5:41
Send you on your way.
Dave SpositoHOST
5:42
The long, the album versions of these songs, they kind of dip down, they fade away, and then they come back up, and then they have like about a minute and a half of just excitement.
Dave SpositoHOST
5:51
And I said, oh, this is the long version.
Dave SpositoHOST
5:53
I love this.

14 MINS LATER

Molly AllenHOST
19:40
They said, when hell freezes over, we'll get back together and do some stuff for you kids.
Molly AllenHOST
19:46
And apparently hell froze over.
Dave SpositoHOST
19:48
Then they released an album called Hell is Froze Over.
Dave SpositoHOST
19:52
Or Hell Freezes Over.
Kevin BrownHOST
40:28
It's just, well, any two musicians really, but yeah, it's interesting.
Kevin BrownHOST
40:31
I mean, I was just looking at their discography because, I mean, the last album I'd say that I know well enough to sort of say that I know it beyond the singles is Razor's Edge.
Kevin BrownHOST
40:40
Yeah.
Kevin BrownHOST
40:41
And that was 1990.
Kevin BrownHOST
40:47
And then they went into five years after that was Ball Breaker, five years after that was Stiff Up a Lip, eight years Black Eyes, six years Rock or Bust, six years Power Up.
Kevin BrownHOST
40:55
So... long spells between albums which is fine whatever I mean that's okay but it does sort of suggest that it really is sort of well let's release an album so we can go back out on the road
Corey MorissetteHOST
41:06
yeah but no and like Razor's Edge probably the last great one like there's good stuff on Ball Breaker I'm actually really warming up to that record the more I hear it Stiff Upper Lip is even better than that but it's still not as good as Razor's Edge and then you kind of go like Black Ice is like half a great album and half a really bad one because it's like it's way too long It's kiss hot in the shade.
Corey MorissetteHOST
41:25
Like if they would have cut eight songs, it would have been so much better.
