The Pussycat Dolls

Like, what are you even talking about? So, some people just should not have lots of money, and that guy, he should not have that much money, because he is absolutely cooked.

Let's bring it back up now because one of my favorite things on the internet over the weekend was from a Pussycat Dolls concert.

So the Pussycat Dolls, only three remaining members, are on tour right now.

And it's kind of a habit where Nicole Scherzinger, when she has toured in the past, she has missed her cue when she's doing a quick change or whatever.

So they go out there and they are doing buttons.

And the other two girls, they've made it out there, they've hit their cues.

But when it comes to Nicole Scherzinger, she's not there in time and what would have happened in the past is melody would have seized the moment she was the one that always wanted to be nicole scherzinger she would have got in there and been like and singing all the lyrics but no she did not none of them did that they continued to sing the backup vocals and then there was this amazing guy on tiktok and he posted video he is the biggest pussycat dolls fan and so when nicole was supposed to be singing oh he took over and he served

But I wanna

It was great.

Did you see Nicole Scherzinger was late on stage for Buttons because now PCD3, Nicole and two of the other Pussycat Dolls are on tour.

And apparently in Poland, she was running a bit late.

And so they had to perform Buttons without her.

It's kind of iconic.

Sorry.

So then she announced that she is going to do a solo concert next year in Poland to apologize for not being there for the beginning of the Pussycat Dolls concert, but not a new Pussycat Dolls show.

So those other girls, sorry.

So Shannon, I talk about 2010s recession pop and like it just having a whole vibe to it.

And then I actually this maybe I don't know if this qualifies, but I was scrolling your tick tock before we talked and you did a think piece on the pussycat dolls.

And I was like, oh, we didn't talk about the pussycat dolls.

And that does feel like I just think that buttons.

like influenced a generation of girls who thought their only currency in life was to be hot.

And I feel like something about them is just so like, um yeah i don't know that it was so like influential paired with that group having no like meaningful cultural capital and not knowing who anyone else in the group is they're kind of like a weird anomaly of like huge huge hits very low understanding of like who they are why they're here and i know nothing about their personal lives nor do i really care

Dolls.

Dude, there was something about the Pussycat Dolls.

And you have some people canceling tours.

For example, I was looking at Post Malone, Pussycat Dolls, Meghan Trainor, and a host of others have canceled or trimmed down their tours.

I mean, David Lee Roth, because their tickets just aren't selling.

And some of it is because, again, because of the cost.

Craig Melvin? This sounds like she's probably gonna sell a few of these every concert and make some quick, easy money.

What's even weirder about this Pussycat Dolls tour is this video posted by someone who went to the show in-

... where was it? Poland?

In Warsaw.

Pulled out their phone when the opening bars of Buttons started and was like, "I'm gonna capture this moment of history.

I'm gonna capture the Pussycat Dolls on their brand-new 2026 tour singing Buttons." Only this happened instead.
