The Princeton Review

We have the Esteem Program, which is a science and engineering merged with entrepreneurship program that's been taught out of the Idea Center.

I think it's the 12th ranked program this year in the Princeton Review, for example, which ranks entrepreneurship programs in North America and Europe combined.

So we're rather proud of that.

And then in addition to that, I think we have historically had a fairly strong record of creating corporate entities based on innovation.

Uh, an invention of the modern, uh, weather systems, and been nine-year chair at, uh, Wisconsin.

Named, how about this, James Spann, named by Princeton Review as one of the nation's top 300 professors.

Welcome to the program, Jonathan.

That's outstanding.

And that is the focus right now of our strategy.

It seems like Xavier has performed really well when it comes to some rankings, especially from the Princeton Review.

Eighth for student support, 10th for health services, 11th for students who love their sports teams in the U.S. What does that say to you about what Xavier is doing?

First of all, it's not surprising at all to me.

I remember doing something years ago in New York City.

I was in charge of a project that was for Princeton Review that was looking at that.

We came up with the very first 100 best colleges project.

Um, and I, I had a, it was the first time I ever had people work for me and so many, I wanted to do everything, the programming, the outreach, like all the aspects of this gig, this job, I wanted to do everything in my mind.

And some, you know, maybe the Harvard and Princeton, like, no, no, no, let's not tell anybody that.

You know, Lori, full disclosure, back in the day, I worked for the Princeton Review in New York and New York City.

And it was the year I was in charge of the very first year we did the best colleges and universities and ranked them.

So I remember.

With remarkable speed, more colleges and universities are crossing a new threshold, charging undergraduates over $100,000 a year for tuition, housing, books and fees.

Fifteen schools cost six figures now, according to the Princeton Review, whereas a year ago there was only one.

Education experts say that the trend of rising college costs will only continue.

While high prices do cause sticker shock, research shows that the amount students pay for college has stagnated or gone down slightly for most families.

Mobile devices weren't capable enough to delivering the programming.

So it was kind of like you had to go to a Kaplan Center, Princeton Review kind of place, and very challenging business model.

Eventually, that company was having challenges.

And so for a variety of reasons, the company was going to fail.

You have to spend and spend wisely in modern college football to win.

So I say all this to say Florida State, per the Princeton Review, is a top 20 best public alumni network in the country.

So I have a hard time believing that there's nobody that went to Florida State with some deep pockets that we can't tap into and say, hey, football has sucked the last couple of years.

We want to get it back to where it's supposed to be.

Last week, we had two great pieces of news.

One, Princeton Review named our little station here, WRFH, the fifth-best college radio station in the country.

That's our highest ranking in our history, which is only about 10 years here at Hillsdale College.

So very excited about that.

And so i- i- it's wonderful to be here.

If I can brag a bit, I mentioned this earlier briefly, but we had two great honors last week with the student radio station here, WRFH, where I am the general manager of the student-run radio station and a lecturer in journalism.

Our radio station here was named the fifth best college radio station in the country by Princeton Review, our highest ranking ever in about 10 years we've been here.

Uh, the radio station's been here for 10 years.
