The Power of One

It really bothered me.

And once again, I would argue that if Morgan, like PK in The Power of One, had just left the girl alone, a lot of people in this movie wouldn't end up shot or dead.

No, but usually it's the guy sees the good girl who's with the bad guy.

Yes.

Lion King? No, not that one.

There's this movie called The Power of One that was this movie about like a boxer in South Africa.

And it is just...

it deals with apartheid and it's just it's a bummer like it's a very upsetting movie a lot of bad things happen in it but the soundtrack is incredible and i had it on cassette and it's a it sounds a lot like that

I was gonna say he was the villain in The Power of One.

That's true.

A, a white racist.

And you know, and that led to some TV shows, the Diff'rent Strokes stuff, and that kinda thing.

And then, yeah, it wasn't until I really turned 17, I finally got my first, you know, big movie, and that was The Power of One, this movie that took me to Africa and worked with Morgan Freeman and all these great actors.

I mean, this, this is amazing, 'cause, and not to cut you off, but you me- first of all, you mentioned The Gate-

Another important name in the making of Fifth Element is screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen, who is, you know, the guy who wrote Karate Kid and Taps and what else? The Power One.

He has a screenplay by credit on Lethal Weapon 3 and stuff like that.

And then, you know, a few years after that, he became like Luc Besson's main creative collaborator on the writing side.
