The Pope's Exorcist

Is

he a professional exorcist? I know, but there's a Russell Crowe movie called The Pope's Exorcist.

So I assume it's factual.

So the conclave is happening at New Zealand Rugby where they're putting three options to all the Super Rugby franchises and all the provincial.

His character – he shows up for a little bit at the beginning, a little bit at the end, but he's a very – pivotal character so it's something he could have easily slept walked through for the paycheck but he makes this dude a real character like one that you immediately hone in on and you're like wait who's this guy you know like is this guy gonna be trouble or is he like actually you know trying to help ethan hawke or is there something else going on like he makes you kind of question him even though he's not there very long

crow crow's secretly kind of been cooking the last few years the movies i'm not saying the movies the movies haven't been great but he's been pretty good but like yeah you know you know what i watched the the other day that he was in and i like totally didn't see this in theaters because i was like that looks like total shit i'm not gonna go see this but the the pope's exorcist i just like fired that oh he's riding around on the little vest he

is having so much fun

He is putting 110% into that just, like, a movie that, like, it belongs just lost somewhere on Netflix for you to fire up on a Tuesday.

The Midnight Club.

Oh, The Pope's Exorcist.

Oh.

Um, starring-

Um, and, you know, "A Beautiful Mind," which I haven't seen for a long, long time.

And honestly, I, I even still kind of ride for "The Pope's Exorcist" most recently as a bit of a, like a, an absurd movie that he, he really gives himself to, you know? [chuckles]

I, I, I was shocked about Russell-- I was waiting for where Russell Crowe was going, and it makes me laugh because when the, you're, you're...

You know, and, and I, I respect it.

So, uh, I've been drawn to this because of that interest.

Um, the, the word, uh, exorcism tends to excite people because of the drama or even hysteria that is often caused by films such as The Exorcism of Emily Rose, or The Exorcist, or the recent film with Russell Crowe, um, the Vati- uh, The Pope's Exorcist.

If you could show me slide one, please.

Uh, slide two, actually.

Sorry, I didn't say that.

[laughs] Uh, next slide, please.

Uh, yeah, so this is the movie, The Pope's Exorcist, uh, which is also partly true.

It's based on a real person.
