The Plastic Surgery Foundation

So it's like incredibly, I think, um, inspiring for the providers.

I will put out a plug for, you know, kind of as I continue to try to evolve, like what, how can we do this? Well, how can we do this? How can we like move the needle on like sharing the incredible, like gift of plastic surgery around the world? You know, we did develop this share program through the plastic surgery foundation and The goal of that, which I founded with Andrea Pusek when she was a PSF president, was I realized that like a lot of times in the NGO space where like there is always a little bit of a conflict of interest because you're trying to raise money, pulling on heartstrings.

And to me, I think that always provides an ethical challenge as opposed to like really celebrating what may be like a difference that is actually going to make someone have a lived experience that may, they may find benefit and being like a different contributor to their community or society.

So I think, you know, there is a lot of value in collaborating on an organizational level, which is why we launched that through the Plastic Surgery Foundation.

So it wasn't like in a space where everyone's like, you're competing for patients or you're making patients look like they're you know kind of in a victim state but that we're like trying to pool the resources of like the largest plastic surgery organization and try to utilize them so that they can be shared across you know the globe and The program does predominantly focus in sub-Saharan Africa currently just because that was like the lowest density of plastic surgery.

And it's like a two-year fellowship program.
