The Plague Dogs

There was another, Richard Adams, that was it.

And he did another book called Plague Dogs.

And they did, again, like Watership Down, they did an animated feature And that has got to be one of the most beautiful but depressing cartoons.

If you think Watership Down was sort of horrific, Plague Dogs is, God, and the ending just never fails to just get me in floods of tears.

Yeah, this is a new one on me.

I don't know this one.

Like half Plague Dogs, half American Werewolf in London for me.

That's where I've kind of put it in my brain.

Who has the best scream?

I don't think it's quite as stacked a lineup.

But then, like, in February, according to Wikipedia, The Mutilator, Rockin' Road Trip, The Plague Dogs, Too Scared to Scream, Walking the Edge, Water Gulag, Avenging

Angel.

Okay, there you go.

Yeah, I mean, it still would have been CG.

But yeah, that's what the world needs, is one of the Disney live-action CGI remakes of Plague Dogs.

Like, ultra-realistic Plague Dogs.

I just wanted to talk about this movie, and of course it's not very light, but I thought maybe it'd be interesting to pair it with Isle of Dogs from 2018, the second stop-motion animated movie by Wes Anderson.

And then everything after Isle of Dogs is arguably... animated but with live actors using him as puppets
