The Panic in Needle Park

'Cause, like, early Pacino, you know, like Serpico or was it Panic in Needle Park, like-

... you know, the, uh, Cruising, like, those are great movies.

It was a small role, but it was a beginning.

Then came the panic in Needle Park in 1971.

Pacino played Bobby.

a heroin addict living in New York.

He is great in Kiss of the Spider Woman.

He's in Panic in Needle Park.

And I would be remiss if I did not mention his role as M. Bison in Street Fighter.

Yes.

Wow.

He's been in the films Odds Against Tomorrow, The Panic in Needle Park, The Godfather, The Getaway, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, The Godfather Part 2, Rancho Deluxe, Marathon Man, Handle with Care.

uh he's actually he grew up friends somehow i i cut this at some point but he grew up friends with or he was friends with um

But so in a sense, it's a matter of how fate and luck meet together in a way.

Because as I said, he had done Panic in Needle Park, which is a film.

And after that, he signed on to do this movie, The Gang Who Couldn't Shoot Straight.

This is going to be another one of those movies.

You know when something works and when something doesn't, when you're doing it, you do the best you can with it.

But he was very lucky, just like Brenda was, that his first bunch of films were so successful.

Panic in Needle Park was a really good film, then The Godfather, then Scarecrow, and then Godfather 2, and then Dog Day Afternoon.

That's a Very powerful beginning of a career.
