The Pajama Game

Mm

... great musical The Pajama Game called The Once a Year Day.

You remember that?

No, I don't.

That's right

... and it was from which-

From The Pajama Game

...

He started as an actor on Broadway.

If we do the movies of The Pajama Game or The Boys from Syracuse, we'll see his work there.

He directed on Broadway so many things, including the original On the Town, Pal Joey, Once Upon a Mattress, featuring Carol Burnett's Broadway debut, Fiorello, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

And truly...

And we'll see him again if we do Funny Face or Royal Wedding.

But he stepped away from musicals, but did return for this movie, For Damn Yankees.

And they also worked on The Pajama Game together in a similar, it was described as a hands-off collaboration where I think George Abbott did like 80% of the directing and then Stanley Donen kind of got plugged in as, fit yeah but that seemed to be like their their uh relationship yeah so cinematographer we've we will see his work again he was a his name is Harold Lipstein he was a Hollywood cinematographer he worked on 62 films he was born in Russia he would go on to work on Pal Joey so if we do Pal Joey we'll see that And he was known for other famous films such as A Man Called Peter, Von Ryan's Express, and The Adventures of Haji Baba from 1954.

Crazy.

Doris Day was in full-out musicals.

She was in The Pajama Game, which was a musical.

Yeah, I just mean the Rock Hudson movies.

But
