The Old Gods Waken

Th- there's this sense that has haunted this country's literature since we had a distinctive literature of our own in English, that, that because of the way we came here to this continent, we being Americans of European heritage, and appropriated it from its, the people we found here, that there's a kind of vengeance [laughs] lying in store for us.

It's a really fascinating, bizarre, and disturbing sort of family of literary texts if you start to get into it, and one could place The Old Gods Waken into that, that milieu, as many others, to be sure.

Yeah, yeah.

No, there's something really, really interesting going on in, in this with that.

Thank you, Jonathan, for coming and, and just talking about this awesome book that I, that I so enjoyed discovering this year, and enjoyed reading, and am now enjoying rereading.

So yeah, listeners, thanks for joining us.

And yeah, get your hands on, if you haven't already, uh, a copy of, uh, The Old Gods Waken, at least in Audible form.

And see if you can find a way to ask publishers to start publishing this book again, because I think people would like to read it at slightly less expensive prices.
