The Nordic

So the Looking Glass program is basically the Tall White military program.

The tall whites are like the Nordic? Is that right? They look like the

Nordic? No.

No, no.

The Nordics are a different thing.

The tall whites are...

They're like wraiths.

Yeah.

And I was like, "Well, there's a spot up there called The Nordic Buffet.

I've made a reservation for two.

3:15 Sunday.

Straight back down the road.

And my friend Marissa lives about 40 minutes away, so make, I'll try and see if she'll come by texting her about it.

And she was like, "You're going, you're going just for the Nordic?" And I was like, "Correct."

Yeah.

And the atmosphere not being in there, and Sam, you can speak to this as a photographer and moving around during games, It's not great, and I realize some of this has to do with the team not playing well, but I also think there's a bigger conversation here about what is the team doing to help this? And I don't mean on the field, but...

like your cheapest tickets are the Nordic tickets generally.

So you're going to get the casual people.

But those are still, you know, 40, 45 bucks.

Like, where is that in Columbus? Other than, like, right by Nationwide Arena, where they have that one, like, vertical, like, screen that changes, and it advertises for the new women's team, and it advertises for the Blue Jackets, and basically anything that happens in the Arena District.

Like, I think you need to be out there reminding people... hey, even when we're not good, this is a good time to come out and things like that.

And the Nordic is just a microcosm of this that I'm a little worried about.

Because, I mean, I know attendance is, some of it's been weather, some of it's been weekday games.

That they lost the war.

So this great European something, Nordic something, Aryan spirit or whatever that characterized the German Empire before World War I got totally humiliated.

And this cataclysm of this war was actually incomprehensible.

But as I said in all the other episodes, the cataclysm of World War I is pos- partly the result of the fact of it being the first fully mechanized war.

I even sorta summarized it In the previous episodes, we explored how much that puts them at odds with other lines of thought.

The second chapter of the book is called Love and Honor, and the German conception is based on honor and duty and loyalty and all this hard-ass stuff.

And that's how Germans in their blood, their Nordic blood from Atlantis, actually, uh, characterizes the European man.

And then you have all of this other stuff based in love, the charity of the Catholic Church, which is false.

As a child, that, I don't think that would be hard for them.

Um, and I look back at it and I think, "What the hell was going on?" You know.

Um, but they did look like what we refer to as the Nordic ETs.

Uh, they both had identical blue sort of jumpers on with black collars.
