The New Press

Here's Jennifer Berkshire with more.

She's the host, along with Jack Schneider, of the podcast Have You Heard? and co-author of The Education Wars, also a collaboration with Schneider, which was published by the New Press a couple of years ago.

You report that just 10% of Arizonans support the state's voucher scheme.

And we thought at the time that maybe there would be, um, uh, uh, people would love, love to see what goes on behind the scenes when we opened up the curtain, closed, open up the cur- curtain.

So we con- we were very lucky, we got the New Press, a publisher in New York, nonprofit, publishes books in the public interest.

They were very interested, and we, and we published the book.

Now, when we were talking to the executive editor, our original idea was just to get judges on the DC Superior Court, where I'm, where I sit.

The book is called Our Own Worst Enemies, America and the Age of Violent Populism.

It's published by the New Press.

And I think that was a very, very big change.

And having published Principles of International Environmental Law, her dad, who by that point had moved and founded something called the New Press, commissioned me to write a book called Greening International Law, which was published in about 1994, which was the first book I wrote for a general audience.

Everything else had been written for legal audiences, scholars or practitioners.

And so there was a sort of convergence of different factors.

The book was originally published in French in 2013 as Théorie du Drone.

Two years later, it was translated into English by Janet Lloyd and published by the New Press as A Theory of the Drone.

You can also find a Penguin edition called Drone Theory, which like, fine.

I think it's cheaper, but I'm just going to be honest with you.

Once again, the book is Pink Crime, Fighting Against the Criminalization of Motherhood, Pregnancy, and Queer Identity.

At the time of his disappearance, Joe was a writer and book editor in New York City.

He worked at a non-profit called The New Press, a publisher in Manhattan.

As an editor of The New Press, Joe was also one of only half a dozen African American editors in the business at that time.

He was on his way to many more accomplishments, no doubt.

Joe was born and raised in the Williams Bridge part of the Bronx.

It would have occurred first to him to bring books rather than a sweater.

Daniel would end up joining the search party along with five other of Joe's friends.

Joe was earnest in the best sense, said Matt Weiland, an editor at the New Press and one of the editors of the journal The Baffler.

He wrote the book Eating Tomorrow, Agribusiness, Family, Farmers, and the Battle for the Future of Food.

That was published by The New Press in 2019.
