Okay.

So Coyote vs. Acme is the latest cinematic adventure from Warner Brothers, like Looney Tunes specifically, and the premise is, and I'm just reading from Movie Database here, "After Acme products fail him one too many times in his dogged pursuit of the Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote decides to hire a billboard lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation." Now, that sounds ridiculous, and it is, but it's actually really fun, and I'm glad that we went to see it at the movies because when I first heard of this kind of premise or that the movie was coming out, I was like, "Hmm, would this work? Does that..." 'Cause, 'cause it's a hybrid movie.
M
27:36Martin FeldHOST
Like, it's live action mixed with animation as they've done with, like, Space Jam, or you think about r- uh, movies like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, right, separately.
M
27:44Martin FeldHOST
So, um, you go, "Eh, is this gonna work?" But I reckon it is fantastic.

But doing it well is very difficult, even using AI, uh, to help with coding.
J
62:11Jon DieringerGUEST
Um, you know, when you're dealing with things, 'cause we're also in the Bay, like, and maybe more cities in the future, you know, dealing with time zones, dealing with, you know, when you're matching to a canonical film database like TMDB, what do you do for films that aren't in TMDB? Which we have thousands of films in our database that are not there.
N
62:30Nicolas RapoldHOST
Mm-hmm.
J
62:30Jon DieringerGUEST
Uh, how do you, you know, ensure that you're matching the correct thing? Like, let's say someone's showing, uh, Drive is a good example.

I also foresee this being a prime example of something... 'Cause like it's powered by TMDB, the movie database.

And TMDB basically pulls the same data that IMDb does minus, you know, it's, it's missing some data, and so does OM- OMDB.
S
31:35Steve PhillipsHOST
And, uh, like for our site, we use OMDB for the, uh, the coming soon or the reviews or whatever-

Erm... basically for covering the other two lily taylor and owen wilson so somehow this film is uh is simultaneously a razzie nominated disaster and a fan favorite horror pick in the same award season that's the good bad movie thesis right there laid out in trophy form and and credit where credit's due man jerry goldsmith score picked up a bmi film music award like i said earlier and whatever you think of the rest of it the the music's doing a lot of the real work here so those are the those are the official ones done but you know the drill by now TMDB's got its own categories and and honestly ours are a little bit more accurate first up we've got our most valuable performer our mvp award and of course that is going to lily taylor and it's not even close listen she is carrying a film like this on her back while everyone around there is either wooden coasting or dialed up to 11 sexiness the whole run time that's a real performance buried in a not real movie well done lily
