The Mother and the Whore

No, I have a couple.

I remember a long time ago in the, in the eighties in the university district, walking into our little tiny theater called the grand illusion theater and, and seeing the movie the mother and the whore which was this like a crazily transgressive French film wouldn't seem that transgressive now but it did then and it was like three and a half hours in the middle of the day and it's raining outside and I'm sipping on like a giant latte for three hours watching this experience and I totally forgot that the whole world existed.

Another experience I had when I was in junior high, where I skipped school to go see the first showing in an afternoon on a Friday of Barry Lyndon in Tacoma, Washington in this huge mall theater, must have sat like 1,500 people.

And I just remember like this is one of the greatest experiences of my life, seeing being transported back to this time in England.
