That said, they did manage to mix it up from time to time, so that if you look at the writing credits on the albums, you'll see some Godley-Goldman or Stewart-Cream compositions as well.

Now, Eric Stewart and Graham Goldman were members of the Mindbenders.

That was Wayne Fontana's old group.

And as that band started to move into its ending days, Stewart began recording some demos in a studio called Inner City Studios, which was owned by Peter Tattersall.

The video got played a lot for the song Cry.

But they were in the band 10CC, and that is the song, I'm not in love, so don't forget.

It's just a funny thing I'm going through.

I've watched the documentary on that.

In fact, I think her name is...

Carol, is it Carol Sayre? I once met her.

She wrote the song, Wouldn't You Agree, Baby You and Me Got a Groovy Kind of Love, which I think one of those guys was in with the band The Mindbenders.

And I sat next to her at a restaurant in Nashville.

And so, um, while it's not the focus, focus here of Hollywood Land, I do like to spend a little bit of time here in the screening room each week and also in the wrap party, um, when Jake joins me for recommendations, finding a way to talk about music and movies and true crime, okay? So that's what we're doing here in this section with this hypothetical, theoretical, metaphorical, potentially possible mixtape.

First song I thought of is this killer song from nineteen sixty-five called The Game of Love by Wayne Fontana and The Mindbenders.

I believe it was from their album of the same name.

I will admit the lyrics to this song are a little old-fashioned now.

I'm not sure.

But, um, you can find it on vinyl at your local used record store, I'm sure.
