The Mighty World of Marvel

I've always wanted to do it.

When I was a little kid, I'm basically a child of Mighty World of Marvel, the Marvel weeklies, the black and white Marvel weeklies, where basically we got the entire 1960s compressed into about five years or even four years because it came out weekly.

And the pace of change, the pace of publishing was so fast.

So Mighty World of Marvel, Marvel Comics, Spider-Man Comics Weekly, all this stuff.

And Pop Music Connection, they were at the time edited by a chap called Neil Tennant, who went on to become Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys.

And I would write letters saying, Mr. Tennant, the thing that's got too many fingers on the cover this week, who's going to get sacked for that? Or, you know, all this kind of stuff.

It's all very codified.

And in Britain, you felt like you were in the wild.
