I think it's a great idea, and I think The Matrix Resurrections does it way better, but it's so fun when these things actually acknowledge, like, "Hey, I wanted to do an original thing too."

Yeah, we are not going to be going directly into Matrix Resurrections because I want to see that in the context of the Wachowski's filmography that leads up to that point.
G
42:51GayFeshHOST
I think it is it's not like a direct sequel to Resurrections.
G

It is more of a commentary on how the Matrix

Yeah.

22:56Brian DuffieldGUEST
I went sort of boring with this, but I think about this a lot, where I went with The Matrix and The Matrix Resurrections.
B
23:03Brian DuffieldGUEST
Both were very... seminal and important movies for me and in completely different ways.
B
23:11Brian DuffieldGUEST
Like I think everyone, my age, like the matrix was, I didn't get to see the matrix in a theater, but the matrix is, I think the, along with Jurassic park, like the pinnacle of studio blockbuster filmmaking, I am a really big nut for the matrix resurrections and the Wachowskis in general, I think are, you know, pretty much since they have made movies.
B
23:33Brian DuffieldGUEST
I, I think, maybe for me, but just in general, I think they're kind of the most important filmmakers in America where almost everything they've done, always so ambitious and not ambitious in a way that I feel like is a look at me ambition.
B
23:48Brian DuffieldGUEST
Like I feel like their ambition comes from the really deep hearted, both love of movies and an exploration of themselves, where I think the Wachowskis are always trying to challenged themselves, you know, when they announced, you know, uh, they were going back or one of the sisters was going back for resurrections.
B
24:09Brian DuffieldGUEST
I lost my mind and I have so much love for that movie pretty much in every part of it and i think it's oh there's someone at work here that's you know really trying to like engage with an audience and i think there's no better example of that than the matrix resurrections where you literally see a filmmaker looking at how their life has changed since they made a you know a landmark movie in the matrix um and also how their careers changed how hollywood has changed um And it's a deeply, deeply personal movie.
B
24:43Brian DuffieldGUEST
I think the best scene in The Matrix Resurrections is the scene with Keanu and Carrie-Anne Moss at a coffee shop, which for saying the best scene in a Matrix movie, it should never be the scene in a coffee shop.
