The Man Who Invented Christmas

[laughs] Like, really.

And I mean, one only knows that looking back now, but I even heard, 'cause watching that movie took me down this deep, deep, deep hole into Charles Dickens and then I started to research the town that I'm from.

The town that I'm from, um, is called Morden, Manitoba.

That's my parents' ...

They didn't have it back then to understand that contaminated water causes disease.

So, like, there were so many reasons why living back then would've been so uncomfortable and so terrible [laughs] for both men, women, and children, and animals.

I did not know that Charles Dickens, who went through all kinds of challenging experiences in, in hi- in himself, like, I also didn't realize that some of my favorite stories were written by Charles Dickens, like Great Expectations and ...

Anyways, I've been drawn to him for a long time without even realizing that I was drawn to him, but it all came clear last night.

And I'm sure there have been other Christmas Carol movies made since then.

The Man Who Invented Christmas came out and there was a guy from Downton Abbey who played...

Robert? No, that's six

characters and he went to Downton Abbey.
