I Wanna Go Home, co-written by Fred Briggs, better known as Cold Water Stone, and producer Don Davis, arrived in 1968 backed with The Love of My Woman.

In 1969, Daryl Banks signed with Memphis Soul powerhouse Stax Records, joining their Vault subsidiary for two singles and an album.
