The Love Hypothesis

Tell me about the

book, The Love Hypothesis.

When did this come out?

First off, can I read you my other intros for you? Because I had a couple for this one.

All right.

Well, moving on.

Today, we are talking all about the love hypothesis, Prime Video's latest book adaptation.

So first, I'm going to explain this book to Tyler.

It's fun to like watch Nicole Kidman run around for a while and Sandra Bullock too looking fierce, but it's just, it lacks the charm, again, of the original.

um other things i've watched lately um i actually really liked love hypothesis um

oh okay did you

maybe like just because my expectations were so low like a straight to amazon this is the

Oh, Lucifer? Lucifer, yeah.

But they're really good together, and I think they subvert expectations really well, which I always like from my rom-coms, because the beats are so predictable that I felt like, oh, obviously this is going to happen, and it didn't.

And I was like, oh, you kind of gazed me, Love Hypothesis.

So yeah, that's another fun, easy watch if folks are looking for something online.

Okay, well, anything we need to discuss, or should we just dive right into our final girl topic?

I just wanted to mention that I watched The Love Hypothesis.

Me too.

And it was so cute.

John's gonna be thrilled

[laughs] And then I also just wanted to circle back on The Love Hypothesis, 'cause I was, like, sharding on it.

I watched it with my husband.

Uh-huh.

It's good for the show ...

I actually heard, I saw this on Instagram the other day, um, there was this movie called The Love Hypothesis, and the main actress, Lily Reinhart, was saying that book adaptions are becoming so popular for movies because they have built-in fans already.

Fans of the book want to see fans of the movie, and so it's a really safe place, and I think the same is for comedy.

Don't you think that's an interesting point? I think that's- Movies can be more successful if they already have fans ...

I feel like we get like 50 episodes of that.

Our main topic today is one that Jess proposed and we've been thinking and talking about a little bit, partly because you may have heard the love hypothesis is out on, I want to say Amazon.

Yeah.

Amazon Prime.

Uh, mostly just new movies, actually only new movies.

Um, out of character, I watched the love hypothesis on Amazon prime.

Was this with

the girlfriend or

So, uh, what's this called

again

the love hypothesis and tom bateman who is daisy ridley's husband plays the kylo ren character and he's dressed in all black and he gets like a little

do they actually like mention star wars

This is slightly unrelated, but Brittany Murphy was the main person in Uptown Girl.

And I was watching recently The Love Hypothesis.

And I feel like Lily Reinhart has heaps of similar mannerisms to her.

Really?

That's also another.

This isn't part of my list, but another little bonus.

Love Hypothesis was quite cute.

Would recommend.
