The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth

I'd say it's pretty even for me between historicals and fantasy, primarily games, workshop stuff.

I play a lot of, I have pretty big, Lord of the Rings collection from like Battle for Middle-earth, but I liked War of the Ring.

So they're all like mass battle units.

I have still most, I think almost all the Warhammer fantasy armies at three or four or 5,000 points each.

Or I'm in the mood, I'm watching the movies, or now I'm listening to the books or something, like this is a great way to scratch that itch.

The only thing I could hope for is Battle for Middle Earth.

Good God, if we get a Battle for Middle Earth port to [laughs] Switch with mouse controls, I will be in heaven.

It will, Dev, be the greatest console-

[laughs]

[laughs] Like, you could just...

That could be the perfect way to end SHAC.

We just get an announcement of Battle for Middle Earth: Switch 2 edition, mouse controls enabled, and I will lose my ever-loving mind.

... surprisingly in-depth RPG games.

Um, and, and the Battle for Middle Earth, the two RTS games, are just, like, some of the greatest RTS games that have ever been made, in my opinion.

And, uh, even, I feel like there's one I'm totally forgetting.

Even, like, the Lego games for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and stuff, pretty good I know that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you ever wanna just turn your brain off and get lost in a world, it's pretty good.

But then I'm watching the footage and it really, really reminded me of one of my favorite old games, Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth.

Like, it gave me major Battle for Middle-Earth vibes.

And I was thinking in my head, you know, if they do Battle for Middle-Earth and the trolls become dragons and Legolas becomes Jaime, we got something here.

We got something here.

And Helm's Deep becomes Battle of the Blackwater.

But then I went and compared it to a 20-year-old game.

It said it looked like that to me, so maybe I'm just as bad.

But it really, it's given me major Battle for Middle-Earth vibes, which I would be fine with.
