The Longest Journey

rubber duck on a windowsill or something like

a sly reference to everyone's favorite puzzle from the last the longest journey not the last the last the

longest

journey

yeah everyone's favorite rubber i was i was

actually thinking of another one but that's true yeah i don't remember which one i'm thinking of now though because i'm thinking of that one because you

fucked this up no but we're gonna add the longest journey to the game ranks falcon show bingo Yeah.

Somehow.

And then they relaunched it as Secret World Legends a while back as kind of more fast-paced combat.

But they also tacked on some more... story into secret world legends so we did get a couple more updates but at some point they basically made maintenance moded both versions of the game so you can to my knowledge go play the secret world or the secret world legends both still are out there um you may have to jump through some hoops to get to the first one some people have a fondness for the original for the build design i know tyler's a big fan of the original secret world some people just don't care either way and would rather have more story in which case secret world legends reason i wanted to nominate it obviously if you've heard me at any length of time on this podcast i've been a huge fan of the secret world ever since it came out it's one of my all-time favorite mmos i love funcom i love its storytelling I love that this came from, you know, Joel Bilos and, you know, the team that kind of did, like, The Longest Journey, which is one of my favorite adventure games, computer adventure games, if you've ever played that.

If you haven't, you need to go play it.

It's absolutely tremendous.

... you know, a- and there are a f- a handful of other titles.

I don't know if I've ever met someone who's just like, "You know, I played through Freddy Fish and Pajama Sam and Spy Fox," and then moved on and picked up Monkey Island or, you know, Longest Journey or whatever from there.

Yeah, 'cause-

That'd be quite a leap to go straight from Freddy Fish.

It's like, "I loved this.

Give me The Longest Journey."

Yeah, like, it's like, um, 'cause this...

So this comes out in '94.
