The Lone Gunmen

And so there's even...

There are even three really fun side characters, uh, known as the Lone Gunmen.

And so because of that, I do think Scully and Mulder would appreciate 11/22/63.

If you're not familiar, of course, the date comes from the date that President John F. Kennedy was murdered, um, assassinated in Dallas, Texas, and the world was changed forever.

As well as it turns out for what ails Krycek's son, who is also in all sorts of trouble, uh, having served overseas.

So his search leads him to two vials, which he then takes to the Lone Gunmen in the hope that they can give him good news.

But instead, all they can confirm is that it contains nothing more than deionized water.

So we're left in a pickle here at the end of this episode, which of course now is going to bleed into the next episode again, as we tend to have, uh, the last episode of one season then bleeds into two episodes in the following season, and that's obviously what happens here.

Now, if you remember too, in that episode, uh, Mulder escaped from the Pentagon, but it was only because the Smoking Man opened up the door without him knowing, of course.

So Mulder takes the vial.

He goes back to the Lone Gunmen, and they find a little tiny microchip right down at the bottom.

And the Lone Gunmen are very impressed.
