The Loco-Motion

This is Kylie Minogue.

Of course, she has a lot of things to pick from, but I'm going with Locomotion from 1987.

Nice.

Has a really bouncy synth bass line, which is very new order, actually.

OK, silence please for the Antipodean Pop Princess.

Kylie Minogue and the Locomotion.

Tim, thank you so much for asking for this one.

Yes, of course I was always going to play it.

like a railway.

Come on, come on, tune out the locomotion with me

A few years ago, my cousin got married in Liverpool.

And out of the blue, I got a record sent in the post.

So no one was expecting her to sing.

She is backed by the house band for the night, which is Greg Champion and... could have been Champions fame and they do the locomotion.

It's like, well, what song do you know? What song do I know? And they do the locomotion which ends up

being...

Her first hit.

Shannon.

Hi, Shannon.

I was at the Fitzroy benefit and remember exactly when they presented Kylie Minogue from Neighbours singing her new hit, The Locomotion.
