Mm-hmm.
Kit EllisHOST
5:57
Uh, Spirit Tracks.
Kit EllisHOST
5:58
Maybe some people remember that It's kind of, you know, it's kind of a lower tier Zelda game.
Krysta YangHOST
6:02
Yeah.
Patrick EllersHOST
25:50
Um, but, like, I don't know, I, I find them to be basically comparable.
Patrick EllersHOST
25:55
I notice that you have, uh, extracted Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks from this.
Mark MitchellHOST
26:00
Yeah, and maybe this is a Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures type thing, where we consider them the same art style, just one is lower fidelity than the other, and that it's all kind of like that Toon Link-
Patrick EllersHOST
26:14
Yeah
Lyndon WilloughbyHOST
15:07
What, uh, so within the Zelda series, um, Can you point towards one or two games in particular which you've been able to find kind of the most creative inspiration in? Because like I know me personally, you know, I've kind of dipped a toe into all of them, right? Or at least most of them.
Lyndon WilloughbyHOST
15:27
I have not taken a stab at Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks.
Lyndon WilloughbyHOST
15:31
Um, but, uh, well, actually that's not true.
Lyndon WilloughbyHOST
15:34
Cause we did the, cause I did the trading cards anyway.

How do you feel generally about the move to full 3D animation in the top-down games? Do you think it's worked better in some instances than others? And if that's the case, when has it looked best and when have you kind of responded more negatively to it?
ColtonGUEST
77:26
I think it certainly worked best in A Link Between Worlds.
ColtonGUEST
77:31
I do not particularly like it in Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks.
ColtonGUEST
77:36
I'm going to join the animosity towards those games.
Connor McCabeGUEST
27:57
uh
Patrick EllersHOST
27:58
spirit tracks and phantom hourglass i own both of them on cart and i haven't played them i told you right that i went to a um an estate sale and i they had a copy of uh phantom hourglass or spirit tracks there yes um and they were selling it for a hundred bucks that's obscene and i was like what what are you doing like yeah maybe that's what you would sell it for at like To a collector or something.
Patrick EllersHOST
28:24
You're an estate sale.
Patrick EllersHOST
28:25
Yes.
Andy SpiteriHOST
34:39
the stylus.
Andy SpiteriHOST
34:40
I am very critical of how Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks rely solely on the stylus.
Andy SpiteriHOST
34:47
I really like the way that this game...
Andy SpiteriHOST
34:49
I guess this is just the overall controls, but you can still use the control stick to actually walk, but you use your stylus to interact with things and tap when you're in battle.
Allison AlethaHOST
35:51
It's of the times.
Allison AlethaHOST
35:52
That makes sense.
Allison AlethaHOST
35:53
If I were to improve this game and Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, I would kind of mold the concepts together of being able to move with the control stick and use the stylus when needed to interact with things, but also upgrade the menuing to be a bit more modern.
Andy SpiteriHOST
36:11
Right, right, right.
Jess TaylorHOST
2:30
Which other ones have you not played yet?
Stoy JovicHOST
2:33
Spirit Tracks.
Stoy JovicHOST
2:34
Actually, the two DS games.
Stoy JovicHOST
2:36
Minish Cap and I think Four Swords Adventures.
Daniel AlbaPANELIST

I feel like it would be like a cute nod if like if she has a similar move set like her down B would just have a rod in her hand and then she like points forward as the night goes forward because the Phantom isn't really related to any of Zelda iterations that we have here.
Daniel AlbaPANELIST
31:59
That's from Spirit Tracks, which is also like another nod and reference for that character.
Daniel AlbaPANELIST
32:04
But I think it'd be cool if, like, if you use the standard B button.
Daniel AlbaPANELIST
32:08
I think of Sora, where you press the button, and it's a different attack each time, and it cycles through them.
Scott TailfordHOST
99:41
You can do it in 4K these days.
Scott TailfordHOST
99:43
It's such a beautiful style, which then makes me think of Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass, the only two Zelda games that are locked on 2DS.
Scott TailfordHOST
99:52
Because pretty much everything else is on Switch Online now.
Scott TailfordHOST
99:55
Like, even Minish Cap, which is one of my personal favorites from Game Boy Advance.
Scott TailfordHOST
100:17
But yeah, I would want Wind Waker HD.
Scott TailfordHOST
100:22
You can port the Wii U one if you really want to, or maybe you want to upscale the graphics a little bit more or something like that.
Scott TailfordHOST
100:28
And then do the same treatment for Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
Scott TailfordHOST
100:32
And I know that those games are, what do you call it, like stylus dependent because they were 2DS games.
DaliHOST
22:11
You
TylerHOST
22:11
could leave out stuff like Triforce Heroes or Spirit Tracks, I guess.
TylerHOST
22:15
Yeah.
DaliHOST
22:15
But they didn't.

I would rather play Spirit Tracks on a calculator.

On a calculator over
