The Last Hero

So, um, before we go onto your thoughts on the book, to summarize the book quickly, it was written...

Well, it was published in November 2001, about a month after The Last Hero was published.

Mm.

So it was, so although it was two Discworld books within about two months, they had clearly different goals because one was a- an illustrated book for the adult line, and this was the first Discworld story specifically written as a children's book.

It's the first Discworld children's book, and I think at the time, I think because I would've been about 16, 17 when I read it, and I think at, or when it came out, and I think I must have missed it for a couple of years because I think as a 16, 17-year-old, oh, it's a children's book.

Yeah.

You know, why do I want to read the children's book? And The Last Hero had come out, um, so it's not like, you know, I need my Discworld fix.

And looking back at it, it's kind of, you're right, it's a Discworld story.
