Their money-making model, by the way, has eviscerated the revenue s- uh, regime for newspapers, which was always, if nothing else, the classified ads.

Once you've got Kijiji and Craigslist out there, the classified ads that kept the Kingston Whig-Standard going and, and the, you know, r- really famous, uh, L- the, the London Free Press, newspapers of great historical reputation and importance in our democracy were, have crashed and burned because these social media publishers who've gotten away with calling themselves platforms have stolen out a key part of our democracy right out from under us, which is a legitimate responsible media locally and provincially and nationally.
