The Kings of Summer

Okay.

I would say Kings of Summer.

Summer of Kings.

What's the movie we watched for the podcast? Kings of Summer.

I guess it's a little more stylized to some degree with the editing and the indie vibes, but I think it ultimately just lands on being very mediocre and one note and just forgettable.

What would you have done for Kings of Summer? Would you have leaned into making it stylized or would you try to root it more in formalism and make it more grounded?

I think I would actually lean into style more.

I think I'm like you in that I appreciate style in a film.

What was it? Mike...

Kings of Summer just felt, it felt kind of like an indie production, but, like, it didn't hit any of the right beats for me personally.

And then Dear Lemon Lima was just not good.

My favorite coming of age movie might have to be, it's, uh, I really like Stand By Me.
