But like, I loved Amy Tan's books.

And the first one I read was Joy Luck Club.

And I was like in fourth grade and I was obsessed with this woman.

That's pretty advanced for a fourth grader.

And then today, because I saw a bunch with you guys yesterday that we'll talk about after, and then I saw Diary of a Mad Old Man by Wayne Wang, starring Fan Bingbing and Lily Frankie, who are two actors I really like.

Wayne Wang, obviously Joy Luck Club, I really like.

That movie...

Fucking shocked, if I'm going to be honest.

Are you thinking? I don't know.

I feel like I mixed The First Wives Club up and The Joy Luck Club.

No, Joy Luck Club is like a book they made us read in high school.

Hmm.

We have Amy Tan and Joey Alexander.

So you know Amy Tan, the author of Joy Luck Club and Backyard Bird Chronicles.

She and Joey are best friends.

And so they're coming out to do a performance based off the Backyard Bird Chronicles.

Even in like Hollywood, the rep sweats are real.

It's like if Crazy Rich Asians doesn't do well, we're not gonna get another movie for another like 20 years till the next Joy Luck Club kind of thing.

But it's like, you have to say the right thing.

But I think a lot of times we keep putting that on ourselves and we don't have to.
