The Jayhawks

Uh, and then of course, late kickoff on Saturday night, like I said, a warm cup of milk and bed for Kansas and Utah.

The Jayhawks, uh, underdogs by 15 and a half.

Yeah, this is gonna be a tough one for KU.

I think Utah covers that 15 and a half.

I think, you know, uh, it was a, it was a fun week last, last Saturday for the Jayhawks, you know, to get that win versus Middle Tennessee, but this is just...

Utah is a different beast.

This team is very good, and a college football playoff team.

I don't know.

Utah minus 15 is the play against the Jayhawks.

All right, John, you're the best.

We'll talk in a week, man.

Thanks a lot, guys.

All right, he likes Utah versus Kansas.

The Utes giving the 15 against the Jayhawks this weekend.

We're going to break.

I'm looking forward to seeing that one.

My Jayhawks go at number 12, Utah.

Yeah, I don't know what to think about.

You know what? The Jayhawks, I just want them to make a bowl game every year.

Yeah, I'd prefer eight, nine wins sometimes to be a little better.

But I don't know.

It really is.

And, of course, Jayhawks, not a bad day either.

Middle Tennessee State can do it to anyone, but not the Jayhawks.

Who had Middle Tennessee State? We all did.

That was awful.

He thought he had, like, a smoking gun.

And your memory's defaulting because you said you were at the Jayhawks team and they did not play that day.

No, I was at the Buckeye Hawks.

There's

There's your show for today.

It's baseball heavy, but we're also gonna mix in a little football talk, although there'll be picks and predictions more than, um, digging deep into the game plan between the Chiefs and the Raiders, for example, or the Jayhawks and Middle Tennessee coming up on Saturday.

But we'll do more of that tomorrow, of course.

And speaking of tomorrow, we'll be out at Twin Peaks West.

Again, I know it's...

the second time BYU's hosting the Jayhawks, and I know it's year four in the Big 12, and Kansas has looked nowhere close to what we once grew up thinking of Kansas, but it's still pretty cool to see BYU at the Marriott Center hosting Kansas.

I mean, that was the stuff that Cougar fans were dreaming of for so many years, and to bring that matchup to light in Provo on an every-other-year basis, it's pretty cool.

And last year...

I thought, wow.

Again, it speaks to what kind of... you know, visibility BYU has become, and it helped to having a number one pick last year, but that was a cool setting.

Playing the Jayhawks is always a big deal.

Playing Arizona is a big deal.

Much, Derek, you obviously, you guys coming home from England.

The Jayhawks, you guys are on a bye as well.

But Parker, there were BYU fans who were upset that BYU went on the road to Colorado State this past weekend.

[laughs]

I'm Jake Hach, host of Locked On Cougars.

That's Couch Burning Stovall, AKA Cody Stovall, host of Locked on Oklahoma State.

Derek Johnson, host of Locked on Jayhawks, and of course Parker Ainsworth, host of Locked On Cougars.

Had a cameo earlier from Kevin Borba from Locked On Buffs.

They are at Cincinnati.

The Jayhawks are on a bye week, thank goodness.

And then we had a huge one in Knoxville Saturday with Texas and Tennessee, as all things will get into.

Great slate this week.

We'll get you ready for a hawk talk later on tonight, 6 o'clock.

The Jayhawks have the weekend off.

The Wildcats do not.

It's the Cats and the Cats from Cincinnati.
