About making Jungle, Jon said, "We were already quite a way into working on the album, with some really strong songs already finished, but Jungle was the first one that made everybody sit up and say, 'Okay, this could be the first look.' Before we'd even started writing, Anya Jones had the title, which felt exciting.

The word jungle made me think of kind of sampled breakbeat aesthetic of their first single Overload and then mixing snippets of a breakbeat with the electronic bass line which felt like a nod to the band's past but also their future Wayne Hector suggested making the second verse spoken rather than repeating the melody and Siobhan channeled a kind of new wave Blondie vibe for that section the band went and made a fantastic visual for the song and it felt like a big moment seeing them come back together and coming out with new material now if you check out my Instagram you will see that I will be posting all sorts of different chart facts for the Sugababes including all these great singles from their upcoming album now John let me know that for Weeds Weeds is special to all of us again based on an exciting title that Anya had come up with that immediately sparked a conversation about what could Weeds mean that's often a great sign the group comprises of three strong individuals each with their own voice taste and things that they want to say but each of them loved this song when we showed it to them the band brought this song to life and it's impossible to imagine anyone else singing it it's a bit of a unicorn I wish I knew how to make songs like this one but I don't think you could ever just sit down and deliberately write another Weeds recorded strings for it at Metropolis which was a beautiful moment the band wanted something to share just before their arena tour and being independent meant that they could just simply release it I was glad it came out to the world then the Ivor Academy nomination well that felt like an unexpected but wonderful co-sign that made something special John Shave on Shook Shook was one of the first songs we wrote for the album it was just fun to write like all the best Sugababes records each band member gets their own moment in the song and I like how the production shifts to suit whoever's taking the lead it's full of their individual personalities but when the harmonies come together it's unmistakably the three of them now John Shave on Ghost we wrote Ghost soon after Shook came out Siobhan brought on this idea she wanted to explore and then we approached it from each of the girls' perspectives the verses really unlock the song for me the delivery is just so loose and so conversational and well a lot of fun the whole thing is in quite a low key so it made sense for Mootia to sing it and of course she brings so much charisma from the very first line we spent a long time getting the vocal arrangement right and there's nothing like being in a room with the band all singing in harmony there is some kind of just magic irreplaceable chemistry that happens when they sing together it took us a little longer than we expected to finish the album partially because the band are relentless touring and playing festivals but to be honest they're on no one else's schedule but their own and that meant we could take the time to make it right I'm really proud of what we got every song has its own reason for being there there are also some big soaring emotional moments that you want from the Sugababes and some fresh unexpected ones as well but crucially I think all of the new songs sit really well next to their iconic catalog of pop classics which is very important from a live perspective I cannot wait for people to hear the whole thing so I have a question for you dear listeners what song are you connecting to from those me all of them if you listen to any of those reviews that I've put out on my Instagram about each song I truly believe this is probably going to be their biggest and best record of all time and that's just based on four of the songs already so take a listen today and I want to thank you for taking a moment to take a listen here my name is James Rodriguez and I hope you're having a great day chat with you soon
