Even though he had entirely reshaped the DC Universe, he never allowed his career to calcify by becoming an exclusive company man.

In 1991, writer Jim Starlin brought him back to Marvel to work on the Infinity Gauntlet.

Now, for anyone who has seen a movie in the last 10 years, this is the story.

This was Marvel's attempt at a massive universe-spanning cosmic event, elevating Thanos from a cult favorite villain into a universal threat who wipes out half of all life.

He didn't end up finishing that specific series, unfortunately.

The grueling pace, combined with the immense detail he demanded of himself, pushed him off the book, and Ron Lim had to step in to complete the visuals.

But the opening movement of Infinity Gauntlet is undeniably Perez scale.

From his original incarnation as basically the side-scrolling Sega equivalent of Mario grabbing a superstar, Super Sonic has evolved into a multiversal threat, approaching Infinity Gauntlet levels of power.

i think that the spgs being a panorama that all fits together in a loop is cool but they made the joke on stream that i thought was pertinent which is that you would need a binder that like rotated on a carousel to really get an appreciation for it sure uh and that's accurate that is the best would be the best and unavailable way to parse those cards

I mean, they had a rotating Infinity Gauntlet with two of the stones at Magic Con Vegas.

You know, you just got to put a little guy with a motor on it and you're ready to go.

Better yet, put a battery on there and have it on a crown.
