The Infamous

'Cause the first album you didn't really hear too much about Juvenile Hell.

It was the second album you heard more about, The Infamous, right? That was '93, I swear, or '94, the same year.

They changed New York hip hop, too.

And they, they're good with Nas or they were good with Nas.

Your per- your personal favorite.

Well, I, I, my favorite probably is the great- I'ma go with the infamous, Mobb Deep.

Yeah, that's another one of mine.

Mobb Deep.

to just, just to play, just to play the whole thing.

but anyway in that clip the people saying he's this he's that he's that and he's a genius he's blah blah blah take into account that Havoc apparently wrote his early rhymes in the I can't remember the album that came out before The Infamous so before they blew up but apparently Havoc was the producer rapper and probably was the dude that he's like come join me kind of thing but So somebody says he's got the best opening line in history.

So we had pioneering albums like The Infamous, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, Miseducation, Equemini.

The game had changed dramatically and it was up to Mellow Man Ace to roll with the times and create something independently that could come out in the year 2000 and sound relevant and interesting.

And for the most part, I think he does that.

Mm-hmm.

Lashon, Jason, and E, can I argue that Mobb Deep's The Infamous doesn't happen if 36 Chambers doesn't happen?

I don't know about that.

The, the production that Havoc-

If I Ruled the World.

World.Uh, see 95, Gangsta's Paradise, Dear Mama, Shook Ones, California Love, First of the Month, I Got Five on It.

The infamous.

Shook Ones.

Let me ask you something.

So is the infamous dated to you? Sound dated?

Um, not as dated as Illmatic, but yeah, it definitely sounds like 1995.

Hmm.

You'll hear that the whole fucking hour.

What, what, what grinding is a quarter on a table.

is the infamous.

That's hilarious,
