The History of Sound

I did get to see it there and I was unfortunate, but I'm really happy I got to see it now.

It's a film called The History of Sound.

directed by Olivier Hermanus, who directed that film recently, Living, the one with Bill Nighy, playing the stockbroker accountant who used to say one day he's going to die and wants to live his life.

Based on a Japanese film, I believe, that one, but he directed the remake of it with Bill Nighy.

Which which came out.

I think I'm going to say that I thought History of Sound for me was one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen.

Hmm.

My husband and I watched it.

In the afternoon, he was bending over a toilet in the general store's bathroom trying to fix a broken flush valve.

Not much later, he stood before a packed house in New Bedford, Massachusetts for a screening of The History of Sound, which he adapted from his 2024 book of short stories.

Afterward, he was joined in conversation by one of its stars, Chris Cooper.
