I watched the Witchfinder General series.

I think it's on time and I haven't seen it I haven't seen it ever but I know that that's Vincent Price and his sort of best performance so I think it's hilarious that this film was seen as like really controversial and really taboo because obviously watching it now it just seems very tame however there is one scene where you do see a woman fully set alight slowly actually because they sort of dipper into the fire but it's over the top it's sort of like bawdy and gaudy and all the rest of it but I had good fun with it I also watched the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society because that was on BBC Two one random weekend evening.

is following the absolute whale of a time you had doing Ingmar Bergman's Wild Strawberries, you selected a period war drama that you had mentioned to me a few times and you had considered showing it to me even and even not doing a podcast.

But I think you had a change of mind coming into this and you selected the film with the longest title ever known as the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

I did.

But... yeah it's a real kind of comfort film for me to this one so I was I was intrigued to show it to you slash nervous because I'm always nervous a little bit showing you the ones that I have a lot of kind of nostalgic it's not even really nostalgia when it's it's not even 10 years old but like I have a lot of affection for but I know that you're not going to that you will find it a bit like corny

Yeah.

It's a funny, I don't think we've watched a film like this for a while because we tend to, when we watch a war film, we tend to, it tends to be like a heavy drama, a very serious film.

Whereas this, and when you've shown me romances in the past, they tend to be like a contemporary modern film, like About Time, I think was an example from this year.
