welcome in to the pod that jane likes a round table discussion of all things happening in the world of dnb this is episode 133 and i'm your host trisha and we are here to discuss the biggest weekend of the year the gorge and boy is there a lot to talk about i just want to share with all of you that we actually gained a fair amount of new followers over the gorge weekend both on instagram and facebook And if that means some of you listening are new, I just wanted to take a quick minute to introduce ourselves.

I'm Trisha.

I've been a fan of DMV since I was 15.

I mean, for those longtime listeners, you know that my role here is really to corral these nerds, because these three DMV nerds, man, they'll talk about a box set for 45 minutes if I don't interrupt them.

well the gorge 2026 there is so much to talk about let's just dive right in maybe sean you want to start off with some history of the gorge what do you got for us

Yeah, so this year marked the 77th, the 78th, and the 79th DMV performances at the Gorge.

It seemed like we just got started with the 2026 Summer Tour.

I was speaking about Colorado earlier, and these Colorado shows were the first shows Since Jones Beach on the East Coast, the band typically takes a few weeks off in August to just take some time away before the run-up to the Gorge.

This is what we've seen regularly over the past several years.

But, yeah, I don't think you should go.

You know, last year when we went to Labor Day with the Gorge last year, my wife just had.

I had to wear a shirt and it said something to the effect of, you know, veterans standing up.

Fuck Trump.

In 2016, Dead and Company invited Donna to guest at several shows.

Bonnaroo, Citi Field, Fenway Park in Boston on July 16th, The Gorge.

At Fenway, she sang on every major song in both sets.

They love each other.

It is Labor Dave weekend.

It's been that way forever, as long as I can remember, where Dave Matthews Band plays several shows at the Gorge.

Am I going? No.

But I miss concerts at the Gorge.

I haven't been in a couple years and it's worth seeing a show with that view at least once in your life if you haven't already.

So that would be my recommendation.
