The Garden Conservancy

It's open to the public.

It's a not-for-profit garden that's affiliated with The Garden Conservancy, and it was started as Ruth Bancroft, a woman's personal garden in the early 1970s on her family's land.

It had been farmland for over 100 years, and she started this, what at the time was an experimental succulent garden that could only be watered with well water.

The sort of the idea, the kind of the thing that was the constraint placed on her was they weren't gonna tap into city water to put in this three-and-a-half acre garden.
