I'm going to go with one I have not seen, and I'm going to go with The Fog.

I haven't seen either.

Simply because we just watched

So Ennio Morricone did the music, right? John Carpenter had previously done the music for his other films, Halloween, Escape from New York, and I think The Fog was before this as well.

The reason why the score in the thing sounds like John Carpenter is because John Carpenter literally gave Ennio Morricone a copy of the soundtrack to Escape from New York and said, hey, like, this is...

I want these, like, synthy, subtle, synthy, creepy...

I mean, which is fair.

He made The Fog, which is another low-budget horror movie with Jamie Lee Curtis.

And then they're like, hey, do you want $15 million to make a big-budget horror movie? And you can do whatever you want.

And he's like, yes, please.

Well, maybe it's just, I'm just being Norwegian racist.

Yeah.

Then there's the voice of Adrienne Barbeau, who was John Carpenter's wife at the time, star of The Fog.

She's in Escape from New York as well.

Uh-huh.

If you don't know John Carpenter, obviously, famously, Halloween, The Thing, The Fog, They Live.

There's so many great movies that this man has brought to us that if you don't know who John Carpenter is, you need to get on it.

You need to start watching everything that this man's done because he composes and directs such great movies.

But we also are introduced to Jamie Lee Curtis is Laurie Strode, which she really hits her stride after this movie.

Yeah.

Like we mentioned, you know, she was also in the fog.

um you know she's been in a bunch of other like prom night um and a couple other movies and then obviously a lot of the sequels as well um but yeah jamie lee curtis like we were talking about this before we started was like she's kind of that quintessential scream queen right um and like honestly for a lot of people she is a scream queen um you know and also did you see her in true lies in the yeah yeah yeah

Also returning for the sequel, with Donald Pleasence as Dr. Sam Loomis, and Charles Syphus as Sheriff Brackett.

Nancy Loomis, now Nancy Keys, who had worked previously with Coppender in his 1976 film Assault on Precinct 13, and would later join him and Jamie Lee Curtis for 1980's The Fog, also returned for a brief cameo as her ill-fated character's dead body on a stretcher, as well as for a vocal performance in the context of a phone conversation as the unseen character, Sally.
