In 1983, the young horror fans went to see other slasher films like Psycho II, Curtains, The Final Terror, The House on Sorority Row, and Sleepaway Camp.

But at this time, the cable TV and video rental markets were exploding.

When Ten to Midnight played on HBO and other pay channels, the film was viewed by teenagers and young adult men.
