The Eye of Every Storm

There's a lot of albums to go before then and a lot of other things to cover.

Why are they important to me? It's no exaggeration to say that Neurosis and specifically discovering their album, The Eye of Every Storm, was a defining moment in my musical journey.

It was some time in 2004, 2005 when, killing time like only a lonely 17-year-old can, I strolled into the HMV in the shopping mall of my local town.

Yeah, remember HMV's and shopping malls? Yeah, well, that's a whole other thing.

This is used to illustrate a point and to give it some depth.

The same track, Starrovision, also has this kind of descending scale sort of thing going on in it that recurs almost kind of verbatim later on in their discography.

I think possibly on the eye of every storm, you get this kind of foreshadowing of the things that would come.

There's a bunch of other stuff going on.
