The Exorcist

And the Mike Flanagan version of this would have been way better.

But, you know, he went to go do The Exorcist and I'm excited to take Shannon to see that movie.

So we all

win.

I mean, literally, this fell off the wagon because it was this and Carrie and there's one other thing.

I mean, it's the Exorcist movie.

It's those three things that literally prevent this movie from having been a Mike Flanagan thing.

And I think that they should have waited.

But because it's Mike Flanagan, who I don't love everything he's done, but I love a lot of the things that he's done because he's very good at what he does.

Yeah.

I'm not a Scarlett Johansson fan, but I feel like that Exorcist movie is going to be at least interesting.

Looks interesting.

Ah, yes, Scarlett Johansson doing horror.

She is in The Exorcist, Martyr, so we'll get all into that.

And we'll talk about why she is using her star power for good.

So thank you for being here.

Just based on the MCU and the fact that she's been working her entire life, started out as a kid actor, But the reason I like it for Scarlett Johansson is because I feel like in the last five years, she's kind of taking these side quests on roles you wouldn't really think that she would take.

Last year, being in a Jurassic World movie, even though I ended up loving that movie, I respected the decision because it's like, oh, Scarlett Johansson is making me interested in this franchise again.

And that is what we are getting again with The Exorcist Martyrs because I I don't really play Scarlett Johansson in a horror movie, much less one of the most historic and monumental horror franchises ever created, The Exorcist.

So when somebody like her, who is worth that amount of money, has all the awards, has all the credentials, can go and do a movie like this, that tells me there has to be something else to this title.

Nope, you can keep on going.

I will say about Carrie, the last thing I want to say about Carrie is also that I'm looking forward to the Exorcist as well from Flanagan, the new Exorcist movie coming out.

I think it's all going to be really good.

A good Flanagan year for us.

Yeah.

There's also a new Exorcist movie coming out with Ellen Burstyn.

Yeah, no thanks.

Oh, yeah.

Tom Hanks looms-

I was just thinking about the new Exorcist

... large.

He could play.

I was about to say, he needs to be in The Pope Exorcist II: Battle of the Pope.

Yeah.

Uh.

Um-

Now a new killer scrawls her name in an altar boy's blood on the walls of a church crypt, dragging her back into the darkness she believed she had buried a long time ago.

Jeff speculated this on Hot Mike, and maybe this is the news, but she's apparently the daughter of George C. Scott's character from Exorcist 3.

So she's apparently a heritage character, a legacy character here, going into this situation with the Exorcist.

So, Michael, what did you think of this trailer? Did it work for you? Are you dragging Shannon to this one? Let us know.
