The Exit 8

And then it's over.

I'm like, what? What? What the fuck was that movie? And I got to tell you, I watched, I know you compared Exit 8 to Back Rooms, but that Exit 8 movie was much better than the Back Rooms movie.

I

haven't seen that.

And, uh, right after I saw it, I made a Letterboxd list that is titled 2026 Video Game Adaptations Where The Protagonist's Pregnant Girlfriend Calls Him Asking If She Should Keep The Baby, And He Has To Figure It Out While Experiencing Some Crazy Shit.

It's just this movie and Exit 8.

Uh-

Holy shit.

I'm, I'm a little-

I think, I think I've been seeing more of that, uh, recently.

Like, specifically I've referenced it before, Exit 8, which I've never played Exit 8.

I, I still need to see it.

...

Exit Eight, 91%.

You know, okay, so it's interesting that Exit Eight is not on this list.

Yeah.

Okay, here, it's down...

It's kind of one of those things, I've gotten a lot of information about World of Warcraft surrendered to me over the years, but I've never played, not even for a second, I've never played the game, and I don't intend to.

Last thing here, the Exit 8 PSX port.

No, not the PSX.

The PSX.

Not the DVR.

We talked about that a lot this episode.

But this is a port of the Exit 8, which is made for the original PSX, PS1 systems, and you can also run it on an emulator.

You can just go ahead and download it here for free, and it looks like it's quite a small download as well too.

have you been playing? I have played a couple of games extra this week.

So one that's always kind of intrigued me was The Exit 8.

So, you know, Exit 8, I think it's also cool.

Is this a story game? Not story.

All right, our next writing comes from Billy Burgess, who writes and says, Hey, Jesse, you certainly did power your dreams.

I bought Exit 8.

What's it about and still waiting for my copy of Hot Wheels to arrive? What's Exit 8 about? It's about finding love in a subway tunnel.

That's what it's about.

If you're having trouble playing it, look it up.

Look it up online.

You can just watch someone else teach you how to play it.

But if you're asking me the meaning of Exit 8, I think it's commentary on Route 66.

Yeah.

Although I see Exit 8 on yours, and I didn't realize it was a video game, and so I probably have to go up there.

Until Dawn, it's not...

I couldn't get into the game, so I watched the movie.
