The Emerson Theater

So I just kind of carried gear for people, went and saw bands and helped out wherever I could.

You know, a lot of nights at the Emerson Theater, me and a buddy started this little DJ thing when we were in high school.

So we DJed our high school dances and, And I kind of carried that into Ball State a little bit, did Watermelon Bust and a few other little things.

And I don't think I was very good at that, but it was something to do.

It sticks in my mind, but it does.

I just thought it was odd that here's this, you know, 60-year-old dairy farmer handing me this hip-hop cassette that kind of like really, you know, had an impact on me, you know?

You mentioned when you were in high school that you would go and help out with gigs at Emerson Theater, different places like that.

How did you even get into that?
