The Duprees

The only reason why I'm picking this as number one, where there's other reasons too, but it's ongoing.

But my number one is basically Leslie and the Duprees on Beyond the Gates.

But anyway, I got to go see them, and I really do mark that as one of the great, um, musical experiences of my life, you know.

The, uh, the, one of the Duprees had me on their shoulders, and they're like, "It's his first fucking concert," you know? And, um, there was some, there was some problem getting into the hall.

It was at Memorial Hall, and, um, there, there was a, a, a, a mob banging on the doors of the hall.

Like, uh, I remember they were banging like, "One, two, three, four, open up the fucking door," you know? And, um, so it, I guess it had, there was, there was some rock and roll defiance there.
