But Beulah does have a place in Australian cinema, thanks to the author Jane Harper and film director and writer Robert Connolly.

His hit movie, The Dry, starring Eric Bana as a federal agent returning to his hometown to try to solve a murder mystery, was filmed in and around Beulah.

It was a great movie with some killer lines.

Edwina Waddy is Head of Australian Content at Roadshow Films, distributing Australian and New Zealand content domestically, including Aussie faves The Dry and its sequel, Boss of Nature.

I have been at Roadshow for about eight and a half years.

I'm the Head of Australian Content and I'm responsible for working with Australian stories and New Zealand stories.

We worked on Penguin Bloom, The Drover's Wife, The Legend of Molly Johnson, The New Boy.

Probably the biggest ones since I've been here would be The Dry and The Force of Nature, The Dry 2.

This year we did Redition.

And also we've done a couple of documentaries, but the main focus is feature films.

Yeah, maybe we can get a cut on that pie.

And then there's one that somebody recommended to me a couple of nights ago called The Dry, which is another detective story.

Eric Bana, he's the lead in that one.

I think he's good in whatever he's in.
