The Drifter

And it got so much hate this year just for being... youthfully targeted or whatever like it's all about one last night um in this particular town with a group of friends and what they get up to but then it's also quite surrealist and it gets a lot more over the top and there's dance numbers and and singing and i i really like it i think it has so much charm and heart to it it really worked for me and the soundtrack's incredible And The Drift, I mean, my mind just goes to my games of the year, you know, Resident Evil 9, Mixtape, Pragmata.

But I'd throw The Drifter in there as well, which I have mentioned before, but that's a really great, visceral, really dark point-and-click game about this character that's returning home for his mum's funeral.

And then it kind of becomes like a spy thriller in amongst that.

There's like assassinations and espionage happen around him and it just, it goes off in a whole other direction.

And it's a very funny game, but a very darkly funny game.

The main character is just very, you know, just sardonic about the reality of what's going on.

But yeah, The Drifter is a really cool game that I need to finish.

I mean, it was the thing that me and my wife were going through together.

Sometimes it sort of depends where they are in their game development.

Yeah, the dr- well, I mean, uh, the Drifter only came out a little while ago.

the rights to The Drifter have been purchased to, to make a movie.

one but interestingly we bring that up because um sony announced recently within the last week that um they are going to take powerhouse um pulp point and click adventure um the drifter and turn it into a film and And apparently it's going to be done by Story Kitchen.

What I really love about that is because that is a Melbourne based indie

It's just like this muscle memory.

If I'm in a point and click adventure, I put my cursor to the top to see if there's a menu, which there was in the drifter.

And I was like super happy about it.

There's your little point and click menu.
