I always thought when I was younger and I was making these songs, "Oh, well, once I have all the hits, everyone's just gonna come to me." I was still running into the same pro- And honestly, it was even worse, because people were like, "Oh, well, you made..." Any song you played them has to be the biggest song in the world, because they're expecting something that's so larger than life.

And I was on tour with Ed Sheeran, okay? And The Defiant Ones had just come out by, uh, Doc- It's a documentary with Dr.

Dre and Jimmy Iovine.

And I remember sitting backstage at Gillette Stadium with Ed Sheeran, and it was his first time ever playing a stadium show, and we were watching Defiant Ones, and it just finished, and he stood up, and he said, "Man, they did so much in their life.

Okay.

Yeah, he writes a lot about what Portier represents as an actor between that and, and The Defiant Ones where he talks about being in a theater, I wanna say in Harlem, and everyone was yelling, "Get back on the train," at the screen to Portier in, in The Defiant Ones.

[laughs] Yeah, right.

That's right.

I deeply regret what I did and I know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.

And in the 2017 documentary, The Defiant Ones, Dr. Dre finally directly addressed his attack on Dee Barnes.

Any man that puts his hands on a female is an idiot.

He's out of his mind.

... you have to, you have to read that.

The Defiant Ones, which was Jimmy and Dre's HBO doc, was just fantastic.

I, I think you have to watch that.

And there's a line that Jimmy Iovine said in this documentary called Defiant Ones, where he said, he tells, I don't know anything about horse racing, but he said with horses, they put blinders on them.

So they can't look left or right as they're racing.

And essentially that ensures that they can run the best version of the race they possibly can.
